Slimwood Overlay solid hardwood timber flooring has been designed by Boral Timber for people who love the style and warmth of a solid timber floor, but don’t have the traditional bearers-and-joists subfloor structure to work with.  Slimwood is designed to be laid directly over concrete, existing timber, plywood or particleboard flooring. As long as your old floor is clean, dry and flat, you can lay a Slimwood floor, so it’s perfect for ground floor renovations over a concrete slab or second storey refurbishments where the carpet has been pulled up and the subfloor is still in place.

Easy installation
Slimwood solid timber flooring is designed to be glued down using Bostik Ultraset polyurethane adhesive.   As any solid timber product will be effected by changes in the moisture content of the air, we recommend that Slimwood is acclimatized to its new environment for an appropriate time. In areas where there is a concern with moisture, Bostik Moisture Seal should be used in conjunction with Bostik Ultraset.   Your new floor should then be professionally installed and only takes a short time to install, sand and finish.
